Gucci is back with another accessory from their archive after the successful reborn of their Jackie bag. This one is Princess Diana’s favorite handbag. It’s a tote bag with bamboo handles that Alessandro Michele reimagined 20 years after the bag becomes the royal’s favorite.
The bag has a similar style to Princess Diana’s when she was fawned over by paparazzi during the early ‘90s. She was also seen wearing a collegiate sweater and cycling shorts during the time, which is very far from what most royal family members wear. She has a distance from the royal family which helped her evolve her personal freedom with her clothes and fashion choices. Her stylist even once said that Princess Diana dispensed the formality dress codes for royals.
The new tote bag was made with the idea of fluidity. It also has a distinguished look of neon leather belts which are fastened around the bamboo handles. Customized letters are be embossed inside the belt that adds personal charms to the bag. This new bag has a wide variety to choose from. There are three sizes available and seven color choices. The closest color to Princess Diana’s original bag is the “cuir”. The bag was originally modeled by a woman with pink hair. At that time, it deviates from the normal brown, black- and blonde-haired models. The bag was also reinvented to show that you are free to be who you are.
